Key information
What colour is this seal?
Clear.
Where is this seal used?
It slides over a raised T-shaped ridge on a bifold shower door or bath screen frame. Most often along the bottom rail, closing the gap down to the tray, but it works just as well vertically on the upright against tiles or wall.
Is this seal soft or rigid?
Both. A rigid PVC channel grips the ridge and a soft PVC blade does the sealing, so the seal as a whole does not flex.
Will it fit my frame?
Only if the frame has a ridge standing proud of the surface. If yours has a groove or slot instead, you need a slot-in T-head bifold seal — this profile will not stay on. The ridge stem must be no more than 4mm thick, and the head no more than 6mm wide and 1.5mm thick.
Can this seal be cut to the length I need?
Yes, with garden secateurs or a junior hacksaw. The rigid channel is too hard for scissors. Or add the Custom Cut option and it arrives trimmed to size.
Should I order a sample first?
Yes, we would always recommend it. A 25mm sample is £4.99 and lets you offer the channel up to your own frame before committing to a full length, which avoids return costs if it turns out not to be the profile you need.
Do your prices include VAT and delivery?
Yes. Every price shown includes VAT and free delivery to the UK mainland.
What this seal is
A clear replacement seal for bifold shower doors and bath screens whose frame has a raised T-shaped ridge rather than a recessed channel. The rigid PVC channel slides straight over that ridge and grips it on its own — no adhesive, no screws — while a soft PVC blade runs off one side and does the sealing.
It is most often fitted horizontally along the bottom rail of a bifold door, where it closes the gap down to the tray. It also works vertically on the upright of the glass, sealing between the glass and your tiles or wall.
Will it fit my frame?
Check the frame first. Run a finger along the edge of the frame or door. A rib standing proud of the surface means a slide-over seal like this one. A groove or slot means you need one of our slot-in T-head bifold seals instead — this profile will not stay on.
Then check the ridge. The channel measures 10mm across and 4mm tall, with a 4mm mouth opening into a cavity 6mm wide and 1.5mm tall. So it suits a T-ridge with a stem up to about 4mm thick and a head up to about 6mm wide and 1.5mm thick. Check the head thickness as well as its width — a head wider or thicker than the cavity will not seat. If yours measures more than that, send us a photo before ordering.

Why fit this seal
Stops water escaping under the door. Once the 17mm blade has gone hard or torn, water tracks straight off the tray and onto the bathroom floor. A fresh blade closes that gap and protects flooring, skirting and the ceiling below.
No adhesive, no residue. The channel holds onto the frame's raised ridge by itself, so it presses on dry and comes off again cleanly if you ever need to change it.
A true like-for-like swap. Slide the old one off, cut the new one to length, press it on. No tools beyond a cutter, no sealant, no drying time before you can shower again.
UK stock, dispatched same day. Held in stock here in the UK and dispatched the same working day on orders placed before 2pm.
Fitting in three steps
1. Measure. Confirm the frame has a raised T-ridge, check the ridge is no more than about 4mm thick, then measure the rail or upright you need to seal.
2. Choose. Pick the 900mm or 2000mm length at or above your measurement — or add our custom cutting service and it arrives ready to fit.
3. Fit. Slide the old seal off and wipe the ridge clean. Cut the new seal to length with secateurs or a junior hacksaw, line the channel up with the ridge at one end and press it on along the full run.
Not sure it fits?
Order the 25mm sample first, or email a photo of your frame edge or your old seal to sales@industrial-polymers.co.uk and our UK team will confirm the right profile before you order — usually the same working day.
