Black Magnetic Seals - 8-10mm Glass, 180 Degree, 20mm

What this seal is

A pair of black magnetic seals (Profile 7) for shower doors with 8–10mm glass — the tidy fix for a black-framed enclosure where a white or clear magnet strip would stand out. Each rigid PVC U-channel pushes straight onto the edge of the glass — no adhesive needed — and carries a black magnetic strip that pulls the door closed and holds it shut while you shower, yet releases easily when you’re done.

These seals fit vertically and are most often found on quadrant enclosures, though some bath screens and other doors use them too. They are designed to meet at 180°, as shown in the main product image.

Which doors will these suit?

With sliding doors, the seals will work as long as the gap between the doors is no greater than 20mm when closed. With hinged or pivoting doors the gap needs to be exactly 20mm — otherwise the two magnetic strips won’t quite line up and the seals may not close as intended.

Why fit these seals

Holds the door properly shut. Tired magnets or perished seals let the door drift open mid-shower — a fresh magnetic pair snaps it closed and keeps the water inside.

Matches a black enclosure. Both the seal and the magnetic strip are black, so the replacement blends with black-framed glass instead of standing out.

No adhesive, no mess. The U-channels grip 8–10mm glass on their own, so they push straight on and can be removed without leaving residue.

Fitting in three steps

1. Measure. Check your glass is 8–10mm thick, measure the height of the door edges, and check the closed gap against the 20mm guidance above.

2. Choose. Pick the 2000mm or 2500mm pair — whichever is at or above your door height — and add the Custom Cut option if you’d like them trimmed before dispatch.

3. Fit. Cut to length if needed, then push one channel onto each door edge so the magnetic faces meet when the door closes. No adhesive, no drying time.
