Black Magnetic Seals - 4-6mm Glass, 135 or 180, Spans 20mm

What this seal is

A pair of black magnetic shower screen seals for 4–6mm glass. Each rigid PVC U-channel simply pushes onto the edge of the glass — no adhesive needed — and carries a black magnetic strip. When the door closes, the two strips pull together and hold it firmly shut while you shower, yet still release easily when you push the door open.

These seals fit vertically on the closing edges of the door, most commonly on quadrant enclosures, though many bath screens and other doors use them too. They can be used at either 135° or 180°, and the black finish matches the rest of a dark-framed enclosure.

Check your gap and door type

If you have sliding doors, these seals are suitable as long as the gap is no greater than 20mm when the doors are closed. If you have hinged or pivoting doors, the gap needs to be exactly 20mm — otherwise the two magnetic strips will not quite line up and the seals may not function as intended.

Fitting in three steps

1. Measure. Check your glass is 4–6mm thick, measure the door height, and check the gap between the closing edges as described above.

2. Choose. Pick the 2000mm or 2500mm pair — whichever is at or above your door height.

3. Fit. Trim both seals to length if needed, then push a channel onto each closing edge so the magnetic strips face each other. Close the door to check they meet squarely.
