Black Shower Screen Seal - 4-6mm Glass, Seals 2-6mm Gaps

What this seal is

A black shower screen seal for 4–6mm glass, sealing gaps of 2mm to 6mm. The rigid PVC U-section — about 17mm tall, with a 4mm mouth widening to a 6mm base — pushes straight onto the edge of the glass and grips on its own with no adhesive, screws or drilling. A soft 20mm deflector fin angles down the face of the glass to shed water back inside, and a short 6mm blade below closes the gap to the bath or tray — ideal for black-framed enclosures where a clear or white seal would look out of place.

It is most often fitted along the bottom horizontal edge of a bath screen or shower door, and works just as well vertically on the upright of the glass to seal against the wall or tiles. Suitable for straight glass only.

Why fit this seal

Stops leaks instantly. A worn, split or missing seal along the bottom or upright of the glass is the most common cause of water pooling outside the shower. Replacing it takes minutes and protects flooring, skirting and plaster from water damage.

Matches black enclosures. Matt-black framed showers are everywhere now — this black seal keeps the look consistent instead of breaking the line with a clear or discoloured strip.

Double defence. The angled fin deflects running water back into the tray while the blade underneath closes the gap — two lines of protection in one push-fit profile.

Cut to fit at home. Order the next length up and trim it down, or use our custom cutting service and it arrives ready to fit.

Fitting in three steps

1. Measure. Check your glass is 4–6mm thick, measure the edge you are sealing, and measure the gap you need to close — it should be between 2mm and 6mm.

2. Choose. Pick the nearest length at or above your measurement, or have us cut it to size for you.

3. Fit. Trim to length if needed, then push the channel onto the edge of the glass from one end and work your way along, with the fin facing into the shower. Never slide the seal along the glass — this can damage it.
