Shower Screen Seal - 6-8mm Glass, Seals 3-6mm Gaps

What this seal is

A clear replacement seal for shower and bath screens with 6–8mm glass. The rigid PVC U-section pushes onto the edge of the glass and grips comfortably on its own — no adhesive needed — while the flexible fins close gaps of 3mm to 6mm between the glass and the tray, bath, tiles or wall, stopping water escaping every time you shower.

Profile: an 11mm-deep push-on channel (6mm mouth opening onto an 8mm base, with grip nibs holding the glass), a 9mm fin sweeping up the glass face to deflect running water, and twin 6mm fins underneath that give a double barrier against the tray or bath rim.

It's most commonly fitted along the bottom horizontal edge of a bath screen or shower door, and works just as well vertically on the upright of the glass to seal against the tiles or wall. It's designed for straight glass.

Why fit this seal

Stops leaks and protects your bathroom. A worn, discoloured or missing screen seal lets water creep past the glass and pool on the floor. Replacing it takes minutes and protects flooring, skirting and plaster from long-term water damage.

Double-fin barrier. Two parallel fins under the channel mean water that gets past the first fin is caught by the second — a drier floor than a single-blade seal can manage.

No adhesive, no mess. The U-section grips 6–8mm glass by itself — it pushes straight on and comes off again without leaving residue on the glass.

Fits top, bottom or side. The same profile seals the bottom of a bath screen against the tub or runs vertically between the glass and the wall — and the clear PVC is barely visible once fitted.

Fitting in three steps

1. Measure. Check your glass is 6–8mm thick, measure the edge of the glass you're sealing, and measure the gap you need to close (it should be 3–6mm).

2. Choose. Pick the nearest length at or above your measurement — 800mm, 900mm, 1400mm or 2000mm.

3. Fit. Trim to length if needed, then push the U-section onto the edge of the glass with the fins facing the surface you're sealing against. Never slide the seal along the glass — this can damage it. No tools, no adhesive, no drying time.
