Shower Screen Seal - 8-10mm Glass, Plain U-Channel Edge Trim

What this seal is

A clear U-channel seal for shower screens and doors with 8–10mm glass. The rigid PVC channel pushes straight onto the edge of the glass and grips 8mm, 9mm or 10mm panels comfortably on its own — no adhesive, no screws, no drilling.

This profile is not designed to close a physical gap. It is most commonly fitted vertically as a soft cushion for a hinged door to close into — protecting the glass edge and giving the door a clean, gentle stop every time it shuts.

Choose your length

Four lengths are available — 800mm, 900mm, 1400mm and 2000mm. Measure the edge of glass you need to cover and pick the length at or just above it. If your measurement sits between two lengths, choose the longer one — the seal trims down easily at home, or add our custom cutting service and it arrives ready to fit.

Why fit this seal

Protects your door edge. A hinged door closing against bare glass or a worn strip is noisy and hard on the glass — this cushion profile gives it a soft, positive stop.

No adhesive, no mess. The channel grips 8–10mm glass on its own — it slides straight on and can be removed without leaving residue on the glass.

Easy like-for-like replacement. If your old cushion strip has yellowed or split, this profile brings the enclosure back to looking new in minutes.

Fitting in three steps

1. Measure. Check your glass is 8–10mm thick and measure the height of the edge the door closes against.

2. Choose. Pick the nearest length at or above your measurement — 800mm, 900mm, 1400mm or 2000mm.

3. Fit. Trim to length if needed, then push the channel onto the edge of the glass so the cushion faces the closing door. No adhesive, no drying time.
