Spacers for Measuring Gaps Accurately - Spacer Thickness of 1.4mm to 5.7mm

What these spacers are

A set of 12 measuring spacers — two each of six colour-coded thicknesses — for measuring the gap between the bottom of your bath screen or shower door and the top of the bath edge, shower tray or floor with real accuracy. Guessing a gap with a tape measure is how the wrong seal gets ordered; stacking spacers into the gap tells you its exact size.

Slide spacers into the gap until they fill it snugly, then simply tell us which combination you used — we'll work out the exact measurement from our table and point you to the right seal. Remember to check the gap at both ends of the screen, as it can vary in size.

Which colour is which thickness?

For example, if one Red and one Grey fill the gap, that's 5.7mm + 3.7mm = 9.4mm — but you can simply tell us “one Red and one Grey” and we'll work out the rest.

Why use these spacers

Order the right seal first time. Seals are sized by the gap they close — measuring it precisely means no wrong orders and no return postage.

Any gap, one set. With two of each thickness, a combination of these spacers can identify any gap size.

Catches uneven gaps. Measuring at both ends shows whether the gap varies along the screen — which tells us whether you need a standard or a tapered seal.

Using them in three steps

1. Stack. Slide spacers into the gap under your screen until they fill it snugly, without forcing them.

2. Note. Write down the colour combination you used — at both ends of the glass, as the gap may vary.

3. Tell us. Send us the combination and we'll confirm the exact gap and recommend the right seal for it.
