Tapered Shower Seal - 4-6mm Glass, Fin 10mm to 2mm, 900mm

What this seal is

A clear tapered bottom seal for shower and bath screens with 4–6mm glass. The rigid PVC U-section pushes onto the bottom edge of the glass — no adhesive needed — while the soft flexible fin below is tapered in height, running from 10mm at one end down to 2mm at the other.

That taper is the whole point: if the gap between the bottom of your glass and the top of the bath or tray is uneven — wider at one end than the other — a standard straight-finned seal leaks at the wide end or drags at the narrow end. This seal follows the slope and closes the gap along its full length.

Choosing a tapered seal

Measure the gap at both ends of the glass. In most cases we recommend a seal with a fin between 2–5mm bigger than the gap you need to seal, so the flexible fin compresses for a tight, watertight sweep. Why fit this seal

Seals an uneven gap properly. Where the tray or bath sits out of level, the tapered fin keeps contact along the whole bottom edge — stopping the leak a straight seal leaves at the wide end.

Fitting in three steps

1. Measure. Check your glass is 4–6mm thick, then measure the gap at both ends of the screen to confirm how it tapers.

2. Choose. Compare your measurements with the product diagrams, allowing a fin 2–5mm bigger than the gap you need to seal.

3. Fit. Cut the 900mm length down if needed, then push the channel onto the bottom edge of the glass with the deeper end of the fin over the wider end of the gap.
