What this seal is
A clear tapered seal for shower and bath screens with 4–6mm glass, made for the awkward situation where the gap under the glass is uneven. The rigid PVC U-section — about 10mm tall, with a 4mm mouth widening to a 6mm base — pushes onto the edge of the glass with no adhesive, and the soft flexible fin below it tapers in height from 15mm down to 5mm along the 900mm length, following the slope as the gap narrows.
It is designed for the bottom edge of the glass, where a tray, bath or floor runs out of level and a standard straight-finned seal would leave one end gaping. Please refer to the product diagrams for the exact profile.
Which tapered seal do I need?
Measure the gap at both ends of the glass. In most cases we recommend a seal with a fin 2–5mm bigger than the gap you need to seal, so the fin stays compressed against the tray along the whole run. Our tapered seals come in a number of different sizes — if this 15mm-to-5mm taper doesn't match your measurements, ask us about the other sizes in the range.

Why fit this seal
Seals an uneven gap properly. When the tray or bath runs out of level, a straight seal either jams at one end or leaks at the other. The tapered fin follows the slope so the whole bottom edge stays sealed.
No adhesive, no mess. The channel is designed to comfortably grip 4–6mm glass on its own — it pushes straight on and can be removed without leaving residue.
Protects floors and fittings. Closing the gap under the glass stops water pooling outside the shower and damaging flooring, skirting and plaster.
Fitting in three steps
1. Measure. Check your glass is 4–6mm thick and measure the gap at both ends of the bottom edge.
2. Choose. Confirm the 15mm-to-5mm taper covers your measurements, allowing a fin 2–5mm bigger than the gap. Remember that cutting the seal down shortens the taper range.
3. Fit. Trim to length if needed, then push the channel onto the bottom edge of the glass from one end and work your way along, with the deep 15mm end of the fin over the wider end of the gap. Never slide the seal along the glass — this can damage it.
