What this seal is
A clear tapered shower screen seal for 4–6mm glass, made for the awkward problem of an uneven gap between the bottom of the glass and the top of the bath or tray. The high-quality rigid PVC U-section pushes onto the edge of the glass with no additional adhesive, and the soft flexible fin below is tapered in height — on this seal from 20mm down to 10mm — so it follows a gap that widens along its run.
If a screen was fitted slightly out of level, or the bath edge slopes, a standard parallel fin either gapes at one end or buckles at the other. A tapered fin closes the whole run neatly. Please refer to the product diagrams for exact sizes. It is a straight seal, designed for straight glass only.
Choosing the right taper
Measure the gap at both ends of the glass. Our tapered seals come in a number of different sizes to accommodate any size gap, and in most cases we recommend a fin 2–5mm bigger than the gap you need to seal — the flexible fin compresses to give a tighter seal.

Why fit this seal
Seals uneven gaps properly. The tapered fin follows a gap that changes along the glass, closing it end to end where a parallel seal would leave daylight or bunch up.
Stops leaks and protects your bathroom. An unsealed or half-sealed gap sends water onto the floor every time you shower — closing it protects flooring, skirting and plaster from long-term damage.
No adhesive, no mess. The rigid PVC channel grips 4–6mm glass on its own, so there is nothing to stick, cure or clean up — and it can be removed without leaving residue.
Barely visible once fitted. The clear PVC blends into the glass for a neat, discreet finish.
Fitting in three steps
1. Measure. Check your glass is 4–6mm thick, then measure the gap at both ends of the glass edge to confirm the 20mm-to-10mm taper suits.
2. Choose. The seal comes in a 900mm length — trim it down at home, or add custom cutting and it arrives ready to fit. Remember: a fin 2–5mm bigger than the gap gives the best seal.
3. Fit. Trim to length if needed, then push the seal onto the glass with the deeper end of the fin over the wider end of the gap, working along from one end — press it on rather than sliding it.
