Tapered Shower Seal - 4-6mm Glass, Fin 20mm to 5mm, 900mm

What this seal is

A clear tapered shower screen seal for 4–6mm glass. The rigid PVC U-section grips 4mm, 5mm or 6mm glass with no additional adhesive, while the soft flexible fin underneath tapers in height from 20mm down to 5mm along the length of the seal.

That taper is the point: it seals an uneven gap between the bottom of the glass and the top of a bath or tray — the situation where a standard, constant-height seal is either too short at one end or dragging at the other.

Choose the right taper

Our tapered seals come in a number of sizes to suit any gap — please refer to the product diagrams for the exact dimensions of this one. In most cases we recommend a fin 2–5mm bigger than the gap you need to seal, so the flexible fin compresses for a tight fit.

Why fit this seal

Seals uneven gaps properly. Where the gap under your screen widens from one end to the other, the tapered fin follows it — sealed at the narrow end, sealed at the wide end.

Stops leaks and protects your floor. An unsealed or part-sealed gap lets water track onto flooring and skirting every time you shower.

No adhesive, no mess. The U-section grips 4–6mm glass on its own and can be removed without residue.

A size for every gap. This fin runs 20mm to 5mm; our other tapered seals cover different ranges — ask us which suits your measurements.

Fitting in three steps

1. Measure. Check your glass is 4–6mm thick, then measure the gap at both ends of the screen to confirm the taper you need.

2. Choose. Pick a fin 2–5mm bigger than your gap — check this seal’s dimensions against the product diagrams.

3. Fit. Trim the 900mm length if needed, then push the U-section onto the bottom edge of the glass with the deep end of the fin over the widest part of the gap.
