What this seal is
A clear tapered seal for shower and bath screens with 6–8mm glass. The rigid PVC channel — about 10mm tall with a 6mm mouth that flexes over 6mm, 7mm or 8mm glass — simply pushes onto the bottom edge of the glass with no adhesive, while the soft flexible fin underneath tapers in height from 15mm at one end down to 5mm at the other across the 900mm length, closing an uneven gap between the glass and the top of the bath or shower tray.
If your screen sits closer to the tray at one end than the other, a standard straight-fin seal will either drag or leave a gap. This tapered profile follows the slope, giving a consistent seal along the full width of the glass.
Which taper do I need?
Measure the gap between the glass and the tray at both ends of the screen. In most cases we recommend a fin between 2–5mm bigger than the gap you need to seal — the flexible fin compresses for a tight, watertight fit. Fit the seal with the deep 15mm end over the widest part of the gap. Our tapered seals come in a number of sizes to suit almost any gap — ask us if this taper is not the right match for your measurements.

Why fit this seal
Seals uneven gaps properly. A sloping gap under the glass is a common cause of persistent leaks — the tapered fin closes it along its whole length, protecting flooring, skirting and plaster from water damage.
No adhesive, no mess. The rigid channel grips 6–8mm glass on its own — it pushes straight on and can be removed without leaving residue on the glass.
Cut to fit at home. The 900mm length trims down to your screen width — just remember cutting from one end shortens the taper range, so trim from the end that suits your gap.

Fitting in three steps
1. Measure. Check your glass is 6–8mm thick and measure the gap at both ends of the screen to confirm the 15mm-to-5mm taper suits.
2. Choose. Pick a fin around 2–5mm larger than your gap, and trim the 900mm length to your screen width if needed.
3. Fit. With the deep end of the fin over the widest part of the gap, push the channel onto the bottom edge of the glass, working along from one end — never slide the seal along the glass. No adhesive, no drying time.
