Tapered Shower Seal - 6-8mm Glass, Fin 25mm to 20mm, 900mm

What this seal is

A clear tapered seal for shower and bath screens with 6–8mm glass where the gap beneath the glass is uneven. The rigid PVC U-section pushes onto the edge of the glass with no additional adhesive, and the soft flexible fin tapers in height from 25mm to 20mm along the 900mm length — please refer to the product diagrams for exact sizes.

It is designed for the bottom of a screen where the glass is not parallel with the bath or tray, so one end of the gap is larger than the other. Our tapered seals come in a number of different sizes to accommodate any size of gap.

Which tapered size do I need?

Measure the gap at both ends of the glass. In most cases we recommend a seal with a fin 2–5mm bigger than the gap you need to seal — the soft fin compresses for a tight, even finish. If this 25mm-to-20mm taper does not match your gap, see our other tapered sizes or get in touch.

Why fit this seal

Seals an uneven gap properly. A parallel seal fitted to a sloping gap either leaks at one end or drags at the other — the tapered fin follows the slope and seals evenly along the full width.

Stops leaks and protects your bathroom. Closing the gap under the glass keeps water off flooring, skirting and plaster — a minutes-long job that prevents long-term damage.

No adhesive, no mess. The U-section grips 6–8mm glass on its own, so it pushes straight on and can be removed later without leaving residue on the glass.

Cut to fit at home. Trim the 900mm length down to your screen width, or use our custom cutting service and it arrives ready to fit.

Fitting in three steps

1. Measure. Check your glass is 6–8mm thick and measure the gap at both ends of the glass to confirm the taper suits.

2. Choose. Pick a fin 2–5mm bigger than your gap — this profile tapers from 25mm to 20mm.

3. Fit. Remove the old seal, clean the glass edge, trim the new seal to size and push the U-section onto the bottom edge with the deeper end of the fin over the larger gap.
