Water-Based Alkyd Floor Paint for Workshops & Concrete

Quick-drying, water-based alkyd floor paint for refurbishing prepared concrete and compatible previously painted floors in workshops, garages, warehouses and other working areas. It forms a coloured, easy-to-maintain finish and can be applied by brush, roller or suitable spray equipment.

Surface assessment and preparation

The floor must be sound, clean and dry. Remove oil, grease, dust, loose material and poorly bonded coating before application. Check the compatibility and adhesion of existing finishes on a small test area. Smooth or dense substrates may need mechanical preparation appropriate to the floor system. Do not apply when the surface temperature is below freezing.

Application guidance

Mix thoroughly and apply an even coat using the selected method. Water may be used for thinning only where the current product instructions permit it. Ventilation, temperature, humidity, substrate porosity and coat thickness all affect drying. Keep people, equipment and vehicles off the floor until the coating is sufficiently dry and cured for the intended duty.

The stated 6–8 m² per litre is an approximate single-coat guide. Allow for surface texture, absorption, preparation losses and the required number of coats when calculating quantity.
