Cork-Elastomer Machinery Mounting Strip

Bonded cellular cork-elastomer strip for placing beneath machine feet, flat bases or cast skirts to help reduce the transfer of noise and vibration into a supporting surface. Each sale unit is one 1200 mm strip in the width and thickness selected.

Select width and thickness

Choose an actual offered combination from the selectors. Width determines the contact area under the machine; thickness and loading affect compression. Measure the bearing footprint and calculate the load per supported area before selecting a strip. The available range includes 6, 9.5, 12.5, 19 and 25 mm thicknesses, with widths varying by thickness.

Supplier performance information

The supplier states a maximum recommended load of 0.5 MN/m² (approximately 50 tonnes/m²), about 5% compression at that loading, an operating range of −40°C to +100°C and resistance to water, most oils, spirits and cutting fluids. Check the actual loading, fluid and mounting arrangement; this material statement does not substitute for machine isolation design.
