Delrin Polyoxymethylene Natural Rod for High-Performance Applications 10mm to 110mm diameter

Delrin rod is a high-performance polyoxymethylene homopolymer known for its excellent mechanical strength and low friction properties. Ideal for various engineering applications.

Material Properties

Delrin, a homo-polymer grade of acetal, exhibits superior mechanical strength, stiffness, and creep resistance. It has a low thermal expansion rate compared to Acetal C, making it suitable for precision applications.

Performance Characteristics

Delrin rod features low moisture absorption and excellent dimensional stability. It performs well in a temperature range of -29º to 85º C, with intermittent use up to 93.3º C. Its low friction and high wear resistance make it a preferred choice for high-performance engineering components.

Applications

Delrin rod is widely used in the food industry, automotive sector, and construction. Typical applications include mechanical gears, electrical insulators, and various components in consumer electronics and medical devices.

Machining and Bonding

Delrin can be easily machined using traditional methods, but requires sharp tools and light clamping forces. Bonding Delrin can be challenging, requiring special surface treatments and adhesives.
