Frame Seal for 4-6mm Glass - Glass to Frame Strip, 900/2m

What this seal is

A clear frame seal for 4–6mm glass. It wraps around the edge of the glass before the pane is inserted into your frame, supporting the glass within the frame and protecting it from any damage the aluminium could cause.

Made from soft, flexible PVC — similar in feel to silicone or rubber — it is commonly used along the bottom horizontal section of a bath screen or shower door, and works just as well vertically on the upright of the glass to seal between the glass and the frame.

Choose your length

Available in 900mm or 2000mm lengths and easily cut down with a good pair of scissors. If your edge sits between the two sizes, order the longer length and trim it — or use our custom cutting service and it arrives ready to fit.

Why fit this seal

Stops rattles and leaks at the frame. A perished frame seal lets the glass move in the frame and water creep past it — a fresh seal snugs the pane back into place and keeps water inside the enclosure.

Protects the glass edge. The soft PVC cushions the glass against the aluminium frame, guarding it from chips and pressure damage.

Fitting in three steps

1. Measure. Check your glass is 4–6mm thick and measure the edge of the glass where it sits in the frame.

2. Choose. Pick the 900mm or 2000mm length at or above your measurement.

3. Fit. Remove the old seal from the gap between the glass and the frame, trim the new seal to length, then push it into the gap until it seats evenly.
