PE500 Food Grade Polyethylene Yellow Sheet 10mm to 25mm Low Friction

This PE500 food-grade polyethylene yellow sheet offers a durable, low-friction engineering plastic solution for demanding environments, particularly where contact with food products is required. Manufactured from high-density PE500, it combines excellent wear resistance with good impact strength, making it ideal for both structural and sliding applications.

With a bright yellow finish for high visibility and a range of sheet sizes from compact plates to larger panel formats, this material is widely used in food processing lines, conveyors, cutting surfaces, and general machinery guards. Its low moisture absorption and easy-to-clean surface make it a practical choice for hygienic environments.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this PE500 yellow sheet suitable for direct contact with food products?

Yes, the sheet is made from food-grade PE500 polyethylene, making it suitable for use in many applications involving food handling and processing when installed and maintained in accordance with relevant regulations and good hygiene practices.

Can the sheet be cut and machined to custom shapes?

Yes, PE500 machines well using standard workshop equipment such as saws, routers and drills. It can be cut, drilled and shaped to create custom wear strips, guards or components. Always use appropriate tooling and support the sheet securely during machining.

What thickness and size should I choose for my application?

The choice depends on the load, wear conditions and available space. Thinner 10 mm sheets suit lighter-duty wear strips and guards, while thicker options up to 25 mm are better for impact plates or heavily loaded areas. Select from the listed standard sizes or choose a larger piece for cutting down to your required dimensions.
