Description

PTFE rod is a high-performance engineering plastic renowned for its exceptionally low coefficient of friction, excellent non-stick properties and outstanding chemical resistance. It is widely used in demanding industrial environments where other plastics or metals would fail, particularly in contact with aggressive chemicals and at elevated temperatures.

Offered in standard lengths such as 500mm and 1000mm, PTFE rod machines well into seals, bearing bushes, insulators and precision components. It provides reliable performance from cryogenic temperatures up to around +260°C, with excellent electrical insulation, very low moisture absorption and long-term dimensional stability.

  • Extremely low friction surface for smooth sliding and anti-stick components
  • Exceptional chemical resistance to acids, alkalis, solvents and fuels
  • Wide operating temperature range, typically from -200°C to +260°C
  • Excellent electrical insulating and dielectric properties
  • Very low moisture absorption and good dimensional stability in service
  • Ideal for seals, bearing bushes, valve seats, insulators and lab equipment parts
