White Wet Room Threshold Seal - 10 x 5mm Rigid Water Dam
Price shown updates with the option you pick.
What this seal is
A white rigid acrylic strip, 10mm wide and 5mm tall, with a smooth half-round top. Bonded down with ordinary bathroom silicone, it forms a physical dam that water cannot pass — not a wiper, not a brush, just a solid low ridge that holds water on the wet side.
It solves the leaks that glass-mounted seals cannot reach: a wet room floor whose fall is too shallow to drain quickly, the open edge of a straight bath under a pivoting screen, or the threshold of a shower enclosure alongside an over-the-glass seal.
Rigid or soft — which do you need?
This one is rigid. Rigid acrylic holds a crisp edge, stays put underfoot and gives the firmest dam — but it will only follow a straight line. It cannot be bent round a curved tray or a quadrant.
Choose the soft version instead if your threshold is curved, uneven, or across a floor that is not perfectly flat — a soft strip will follow the contour and bed down into small dips. Ours is the White Shower Threshold Seal.
Not sure? Lay a straight edge along your threshold. If it sits flat the whole way, rigid is the better seal. If it rocks or shows daylight underneath, go soft.

Why fit this seal
A barrier water cannot pass. A wiper or brush slows water down; a threshold dam stops it. At 5mm tall it holds back a genuine head of water on the shower side.
Rescues a poorly sloped wet room. If the floor does not drain fast enough during a shower, a dam across the opening keeps the rest of the bathroom dry without re-laying the floor.
Solves the pivoting-screen gap. On a bath, it seals the awkward run where the frame meets the glass — the spot over-glass seals struggle to reach.
Low enough to step over. 5mm is high enough to dam water and low enough that it is not a trip hazard or an obstacle to a shower chair.
Silicone fitting, no fixings. A bead of bathroom silicone along the flat underside is all it takes — nothing to screw into a tanked floor.
Fitting in three steps
1. Measure. Measure the run you need to dam — the width of your tray, bath edge or wet room opening — and check it is straight and flat.
2. Choose. Pick the nearest length at or above your measurement, from 800mm to 2500mm, or add our custom cutting service.
3. Fit. Cut to length with a fine-tooth saw, clean and dry the floor, run a continuous bead of bathroom silicone along the flat underside, press the strip down and leave it to cure fully before showering.
Not sure it fits?
