This medium-density silicone sponge sheet provides a soft, easily pliable material for fabricating compressible seals, cushioning pads and gap-filling components. Each variant supplies one 200 × 200 mm sheet in the selected colour, thickness and adhesive-backing configuration.

Selecting the correct variant

Choose thickness to suit the available gap and the compression required to form an effective interface. Excessive compression can shorten service life, while insufficient compression may not close the gap. Colours and adhesive-backing choices vary by thickness, so use the live selector to confirm the exact combination offered.

Select Adhesive Backing: Yes when a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is useful for positioning the cut component during assembly. The backing is an installation aid rather than a substitute for mechanical retention where the application demands it. For difficult, textured or contaminated surfaces, test adhesion on a representative area before use.

Cutting and installation

Cut with a sharp knife, punch or suitable die on a flat support. Use smooth radii at internal corners to reduce tear initiation and keep fixing holes clear of unsupported edges. Clean and dry the mating surface before applying an adhesive-backed variant, then position accurately before pressing the material into place.

Performance and limitations

The published temperature range and compliance statements apply to the supplier's material, but finished-component performance also depends on compression, exposure time, contact media, movement and assembly design. Confirm chemical compatibility and any application-specific fire, aerospace or regulatory requirement before installation. Where sealing performance is critical, validate the selected thickness and compression in the intended assembly.
