A low-profile walk-off mat you lay straight onto the existing floor, with no mat well needed. Choose solid ribbed PVC to scrape off grit, or add absorbent carpet inserts to take water off shoes too.
This is a 6.5mm solid-back PVC entrance mat supplied in 10m × 1m rolls. The ribbed surface scrapes dirt and grit from shoes and wheels, and the grooves hold it until the mat is cleaned, so it doesn't get walked into the building. The solid back means nothing drops through onto the floor underneath. It is certified R11 slip resistant, heel-proof and wheel-proof, and rolls easily under trolleys, buggies and wheelchairs.
Unlike recessed entrance systems, it needs no mat well. Lay it loose on top of the existing floor, or bond it down for a permanent surface-mounted mat. It comes in two types:
- Solid ribbed: all-PVC scraper surface. Tough and easy to hose clean. Works inside or outside the door.
- With carpet inserts: the same mat with strips of absorbent regenerated-nylon carpet set between the ribs, to dry shoes as well as scrape them. For inside the door, where water is the slip risk.
NO MAT WELL NEEDED
At 6.5mm with a low profile, it lies straight on top of the existing floor. There's no cutting a recess into a new or finished floor.
SCRAPES AND TRAPS DIRT
The ribs clean shoes and wheels, and the grooves hold the grit. The solid back keeps it off the floor underneath.
WHEEL AND HEEL PROOF
It is certified R11 slip resistant, and gives trolleys, buggies and wheelchairs a smooth, easy roll.

INSTALLATION & CLEANING
Unroll it and let it relax flat, then cut it to length with a sharp knife. Lay it loose over the existing floor, or bond it down with a suitable flooring adhesive for a permanent installation. To clean, lift or roll it up. Hose down the solid ribbed type. Vacuum the carpet-insert type, and shake or hose out grit as needed.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do I need a mat well?
No. It is designed to lay straight on top of the existing floor. For a recessed installation, choose our 14mm open-grid entrance matting or 16mm carpet-insert entrance matting.
Solid ribbed or carpet inserts?
Solid ribbed if grit and dirt are the main problem, or the mat will get very wet or sit outside. Carpet inserts if rain and wet shoes on a polished floor are the problem. They take the water off.
Can it go outside?
Choose the solid ribbed type for outside or covered-porch use. The carpet-insert type is for inside the door.
Will trolleys and wheelchairs roll over it?
Yes. It is wheel-proof and heel-proof, with a low profile that is easy to roll onto.
Can I get a single mat cut to size?
