Solid Silicone Rubber Cord – 60 Shore A
Brand: Unbranded
Price shown updates with the option you pick.
Medium-hardness solid silicone rubber cord for sealing, cushioning, gasketing and fabricated components in industrial, automotive, electrical and HVAC assemblies. The round profile is solid—not hollow tubing—and has a nominal hardness of 60 Shore A with a typical tolerance of ±5.
Select the required diameter and full-coil length, then choose the colour. Quantity 1 supplies one complete coil in the selected combination. Coil length is shown in the Size selector and varies by diameter and colour.

Typical applications
- Industrial sealing and cushioning components
- Automotive and electrical assemblies
- HVAC equipment and fabricated seals
- Dairy, sanitary and other food-contact applications where the selected material specification is suitable
- Decorative, art and design projects requiring a resilient solid cord
Food-contact compliance
The supplier states that this 60 Shore A silicone cord complies with FDA §177.2600, BfR Recommendation XV “Silicones” and Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004. Confirm that the selected size, installation and completed assembly satisfy the requirements of your application.
Choosing the correct diameter
Measure the mating gap, groove or channel and establish the compression required by the design before selecting a diameter. Nominal cord diameter alone does not determine sealing performance. Allow for assembly tolerances, movement and the compatibility of the silicone with the intended temperature, fluids and cleaning process.
Cutting and installation
Cut with a clean, sharp tool to obtain a square end and avoid stretching the cord while measuring or fitting it. Joining materials, adhesives and installation tools are not included. Where a continuous ring or fabricated gasket is required, use a joining method suitable for the operating environment and validate the finished joint before service.
Size and colour range
The live selectors contain 82 verified combinations across four colours. Smaller white diameters are generally supplied in 50 m coils, many translucent, red oxide and blue options in 25 m coils, and the largest diameters in 10 m coils. Select by the complete option label because not every diameter or coil length is available in every colour.
Important limitations
Published mechanical values are typical supplier data and vary with the cure system. They are not a finished-assembly performance guarantee. Check material compatibility and obtain any application-specific approval required before use in safety-critical, pressure-retaining or regulated equipment.
