Engineering plastics, seals, matting and site safety materials — cut to size in the UK
Industrial Polymers UK is a British supplier of engineering plastics, rubber, acrylic, shower screen seals and site safety products. We stock over 2,000 product lines, cut material to size in-house, and ship across the United Kingdom from our facility in Burnley, Lancashire.
Who we are
We supply the materials that keep British industry running — and the small replacement parts that keep homes and buildings working.
We are a UK materials supplier serving engineers, fabricators, maintenance teams, facilities managers, contractors and homeowners. Our catalogue spans semi-finished engineering plastics such as acetal, nylon, PTFE, PEEK and HDPE; acrylic and polycarbonate glazing; industrial rubber and foam; anti-slip matting and ground protection; impact and site safety products; and one of the largest ranges of shower screen seals and spares available in the UK.
Two things connect that range. First, everything we sell is a polymer-based solution to a practical problem — wear, friction, corrosion, impact, water ingress or slip risk. Second, we sell it the way professionals actually buy: cut to your size, priced per piece or per metre, with samples available before you commit to a full sheet.

Cut to size, machined and fabricated
Most customers do not want a full sheet. Our machining and fabrication service covers more than 280 lines and lets you buy material at the size you actually need, which removes offcut waste and the cost of processing it yourself.
- Sheet and rod cut to your specified dimensions
- Strip, seal and matting sold per linear metre
- CNC machining, drilling and edge finishing
- Bespoke sizes quoted from a drawing or sketch
- Small quantities and one-off parts welcome
- Trade and repeat-order accounts supported
Order a sample before you commit
Specifying the wrong material or the wrong seal profile is expensive. We would rather you checked first.
Almost every seal in our shower range can be ordered as a 25mm sample for £4.99 with free UK delivery, so you can offer it up to your screen before buying a full length. Material samples are also available across our engineering plastics range — 3mm and 5mm sheet offcuts and 10mm and 20mm rod sections in acetal, nylon, HDPE, PTFE, PVC, UHMWPE, acrylic, polycarbonate, polypropylene and Tufnol®.
Who we work with
We supply single items to homeowners and scheduled volumes to national contractors, on the same terms of service.
Why customers choose Industrial Polymers UK
Genuine stock, not a drop-ship catalogue
We hold the material we list, which is why we can cut it to size and dispatch it quickly rather than quoting an indefinite lead time.
Technical answers, not order-taking
Tell us the temperature, the load, the chemical exposure or the glass thickness, and we will tell you which grade or profile fits — including when a cheaper option will do the job.
No minimum order
A single seal, one metre of strip or a pallet of sheet. The specification service is the same either way.
Honest, transparent pricing
Prices are published on every product page in GBP, with cut-to-size options costed up front rather than added after you have ordered.
UK based and UK dispatched
Orders leave our Burnley facility for delivery throughout England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Built for repeat specification
Products are catalogued by material, form, thickness and application, so the part you bought last year is easy to find and reorder.
Common questions
These and more are answered in full on our frequently asked questions page.
What does Industrial Polymers UK sell?
Industrial Polymers UK supplies engineering plastics (acetal, nylon, PTFE, PEEK, HDPE, UHMWPE, polypropylene, PVC, PVDF, PET), acrylic and polycarbonate sheet, industrial rubber and foam, anti-slip matting and ground protection, site safety and impact protection products, industrial paints, PVC strip curtains, and replacement shower screen seals and spares. Where are you based and do you deliver across the UK?
We are based at Unit 1B, The Summit, Manchester Road, Burnley, BB11 5HG, United Kingdom, and we deliver nationwide across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Can you cut plastic sheet and rod to size?
Yes. Cut-to-size is a core part of what we do. Sheet and rod can be supplied at your specified dimensions, strip and matting are sold per linear metre, and we also offer CNC machining, drilling and edge finishing. Bespoke parts can be quoted from a drawing or a sketch.
Is there a minimum order value?

Can I get a sample before ordering?
Yes. Almost every shower seal can be ordered as a 25mm sample for £4.99 with free UK delivery, and material samples are available across the engineering plastics range in sheet and rod form.
How do I find the right shower screen seal?
Measure the thickness of your shower glass, then browse the matching range: 3–4mm, 4–6mm, 6–8mm, 8–10mm or 10–12mm glass. If you are unsure of the profile, order a 25mm sample or send us a photograph of the existing seal and we will identify it.

Yes. We hold a dedicated food grade plastics range suitable for food contact, cutting and handling applications, alongside commercial catering equipment.
Do you supply trade and account customers?
Yes. We work with manufacturers, fabricators, contractors, facilities teams, local authorities and education and healthcare providers, and we support repeat and scheduled ordering. Contact our sales team to discuss requirements.
