Shower Door Brush Seal 5mm x 8mm for Bifold & Channel Doors

What this seal is

A brush seal for bifold and channel shower doors, pairing a 5mm T-shaped backing with an 8mm bristle pile. The rigid backing strip slides into the channel in your door frame — no adhesive needed — and the dense synthetic bristles sweep the gap below closed.

Where a solid PVC blade can drag, squeak or fold over as a bifold door concertinas, bristles glide smoothly across the tray — and they forgive a gap that isn't perfectly even from one end of the door to the other.

Why fit this seal

Smooth-moving doors. Bristles sweep rather than drag, so a bifold door folds and glides without the squeak or snag a worn solid blade produces.

Forgiving on uneven gaps. The 8mm pile compresses where the gap narrows and reaches where it widens, keeping contact along the full width of the door.

No adhesive, no mess. The 5mm backing simply slides along the existing channel — no glue, and it slides out just as easily when next due a refresh.

Fitting in three steps

1. Measure. Check your channel slot takes a 5mm backing and the gap below is around 8mm, so the bristle tips just kiss the surface.

2. Choose. Pick 1000mm or 2000mm — whichever is at or above your door width — ready to trim down.

3. Fit. Remove the old seal, clean the channel, cut the backing strip to your door's width, then slide it along the channel until it runs the full width.
