Fine-Rib PVC Floor Matting – 2mm Vinyl Runner Roll, 25m x 1m
A lightweight 2mm PVC alternative to rubber runners. Very fine ribs give a neat, slip-resistant surface beside and on work areas, benches and walkways.
This is a 2mm flexible PVC floor covering with very fine, tightly spaced ribs running along its length. It comes in 25m rolls, a full 1m wide, so one roll covers 25 m². It does the same job as a traditional rubber runner in front of benches, machines and electrical cabinets, but it is lighter to handle, easier to cut and wipes clean. Its dense composition also helps soak up machinery noise.
The fine rib gives good grip underfoot and a smooth, tidy look. The surface resists oils, acids and chemicals. It lies flat, follows the subfloor, and cuts to size on site with a sharp knife. Choose from light grey, black or red.
LIGHTER THAN RUBBER
At 2.2 kg/m² it is far easier to carry, lay and cut than a traditional rubber runner, and it still gives a hard-wearing ribbed surface.
FINE-RIB GRIP
Tightly spaced ribs give good slip resistance and a neat, even finish that suits clean rooms, plant rooms and assembly areas.
QUIETER FLOORS
The dense PVC helps absorb noise from footsteps, trolleys and machinery.

INSTALLATION & CLEANING
Sweep the floor clean and dry. Unroll the matting and let it relax flat, ideally overnight, then trim it with a sharp knife against a straight edge. Loose-laying suits most areas. On busy trolley routes, or for a permanent floor, bond it down with a suitable flooring adhesive. To clean, vacuum or sweep, then mop with warm water and a neutral cleaner.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Is this electrical insulating (switchboard) matting?
No. It is a general-purpose floor covering, not a tested insulating mat. For work on live panels, use our 5mm switchboard matting, which is tested to 7,500 V.
How is it different from your 3mm ribbed matting?
This is thinner (2mm), lighter and 5m longer per roll, with much finer ribs for a neater finish. The 3mm ribbed workplace matting has a bolder rib for heavier standing areas.
Will trolleys roll over it?
Yes. The fine rib and 2mm height give a smooth surface for trolleys and chairs.
Can I cut it myself?
Yes, with a sharp utility knife and a straight edge. Allow up to 2% for shrinkage.
What other sheet mattings do you sell?
Dot, coin and stud patterns: 1.6mm small-dot, 1.6mm coin, 2.5mm heavy-duty dot and 3.3mm stud.
