Button-Pattern PVC Floor Matting – 3.3mm Vinyl Roll, 20m x 0.98m
Hard-wearing 3.3mm PVC sheet matting with deep, penny-sized raised studs that keep light spills below the walking surface. Built for kitchens, bars, cellars and light-industrial floors.
This is a 3.3mm flexible PVC floor covering supplied in 20m rolls, 0.98m wide, so one roll covers 19.6 m². It is the thickest and heaviest of our vinyl sheet mattings. The surface is covered in deep, round, domed studs, each about the size of a 1p coin, set close together. Feet stand on the studs, so light spills of water, drinks or cleaning fluid sit in the channels between them instead of under a shoe. It resists chemicals, oils and acids, and it is easy to mop or vacuum.
It still lies flat, follows the subfloor and cuts to size on site with a sharp knife. Choose from dark grey, blue or black.
MADE FOR LIGHT SPILLS
The deep studs hold small spills below the walking surface. That makes it a good fit for back-of-house, bars, cellars and packing lines where liquid gets on the floor.
HARD-WEARING
At 3.3mm and 4.29 kg/m², it is our heaviest vinyl sheet. It stands up to constant foot traffic, trolleys and kegs.
EASY TO CLEAN
The surface is non-porous PVC with smooth, domed studs. Mop or vacuum it, with no special tools needed.

INSTALLATION
Sweep the floor clean and dry. Unroll the matting and let it relax flat at room temperature, ideally overnight. Then trim it to size with a sharp knife against a straight edge. Loose-laying suits most areas. On busy trolley routes, or where you want a permanent floor, bond it down with a suitable flooring adhesive or double-sided tape.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
Vacuum or sweep to remove grit. Mop with warm water and a neutral or mild alkaline cleaner, working the mop between the studs, then let it dry. No special cleaning tools are needed.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How big are the studs?
Each stud is round and domed, about 20mm across, which is roughly the size of a 1p coin. They are set close together, so a work boot covers four or five of them.
Will it cope with spills?
Light spills, yes. The deep studs hold small amounts of liquid below the walking surface. It isn't a drainage mat, though. For floors that are wet all the time, choose open-mesh grip matting, or grease-resistant open grid for fat and oil.
How is it different from your dot matting?
The studs are larger and deeper, and the sheet is thicker: 3.3mm, against 1.6mm for the small-dot matting and 2.5mm for the heavy-duty dot matting. Choose this stud matting where spills are likely.
Will trolleys and kegs roll over it?
Yes. Trolleys, roll cages, hand pallet trucks and kegs all roll over it. It isn't designed for powered forklift traffic.
Does it need gluing down?
Usually not. At 4.29 kg/m² it stays put. Glue or tape it where wheels turn tightly or where it crosses a busy route.
Can I cut it myself?
Yes, with a sharp utility knife and a straight edge. Let it relax flat before you cut, and allow up to 2% for shrinkage.
Is it suitable for bare feet?
No. For showers, pool surrounds and changing rooms, choose ribbed barefoot matting.
