Ribbed matting for the places people stand and work
A packing bench, a production line, a workshop vice. Anywhere someone stands in one spot for a shift and tools or parts get dropped, a bare concrete or painted floor is hard on both.
This is a 3mm flexible PVC sheet with a ribbed top surface. The ribs give grip for most footwear in wet and dry conditions, carry light spills away along the channels, and take the knock out of a dropped spanner or component so it bounces rather than chips. It also deadens noise underfoot.
Supplied as a 20m × 1m roll in dark grey or green. Cut it to length with a knife or heavy-duty scissors and lay it loose.
GRIP, PROTECT, QUIETEN
The ribs give a positive grip underfoot and a surface that disperses light spills rather than letting them pool. Dropped tools and delicate parts land on PVC, not concrete. The sheet absorbs footfall and trolley noise.
STANDS UP TO THE WORKSHOP
Resistant to most acids, alkalis and oils. Good tear and puncture resistance. Works from -23°C to +60°C, so it suits a cold warehouse as well as a warm production hall.
CUT ON SITE, LAY LOOSE
One-piece construction. No adhesive and no special tools. It contours to uneven floors, and you roll it back or lift it to clean underneath.
HOW MUCH DO I NEED?
| 20m × 1m roll | Covers 20 m². Weighs about 49 kg. One roll lines a 20m production line, or ten 2m bench positions. |
| Cutting it up | Cut lengths off the roll as you need them. For a single bench, allow the bench length plus 300mm so the mat runs past both ends. |
| Wider areas | Lay lengths side by side. The roll is 1m wide (±1cm). |
COLOURS
- Dark grey: the neutral choice. Hides wear and sits quietly on most floors.
- Green: marks out a workstation or a walkway run so it stands out from the surrounding floor.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
Sweep or vacuum as part of the normal round. Mop with warm water and a standard detergent; the smooth ribs wipe clean. Lift or roll the matting back periodically to clean the floor underneath.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Is this an anti-fatigue mat?
No. At 3mm it gives some cushioning underfoot, but it is not a cushioned anti-fatigue mat. If people stand in one spot for long shifts and fatigue is the main problem, ask us about a thicker anti-fatigue grade.
Is it suitable for wet areas?
For light spills, yes; the ribs carry liquid away. It does not drain through. For constantly wet floors, use an open-grid drainage mat.
Can it go outside or at an entrance?
It is designed for indoor workplaces. For a building entrance, use a dedicated entrance mat.
Can I cut it?
Yes, with a sharp knife or heavy-duty scissors. Allow up to 2% for shrinkage if cutting to an exact length in a hot area.
Will trolleys cross it?
Light hand trolleys and pallet trucks can cross it. Tape or fix the leading edge on a regular trolley route so it cannot lift.
Can I buy less than a full roll?
The listed price is for a full 20m roll. Send us the lengths you need and we will quote cut pieces.
