Black Magnetic Seals - 6-8mm Glass, 135 or 180, Spans 25mm

What this seal is

A pair of black magnetic closing seals (Profile 6) for shower enclosures with 6–8mm glass. Each rigid PVC U-section pushes straight onto the edge of the glass — no adhesive required — and the black magnetic strips pull the door firmly shut while you shower, yet release easily when you are finished.

These seals fit vertically and are usually found on quadrant enclosures, although some bath screens and other doors use them too. They can close at either 135° or 180°, as shown in the main product image.

Which doors do these suit?

On sliding doors, these seals are suitable as long as your gap is no greater than 25mm when the doors are closed. On hinged or pivoting doors the gap needs to be exactly 25mm — otherwise the two magnetic strips will not quite line up and the seals may not function as intended. If in doubt, measure with the door closed before ordering.

Why fit this seal

Keeps the door closed and the water in. Tired magnets let a shower door drift open mid-shower; a fresh magnetic pair snaps the door shut and keeps it sealed until you are finished.

No adhesive, no mess. Both profiles grip 6–8mm glass on their own — they push straight on and come off cleanly when they eventually need replacing.

Made for black enclosures. The black PVC and black magnetic strip match modern black-framed enclosures instead of standing out against them.

Cut to fit at home. The 2m and 2.5m lengths trim down easily to your door height, or use our custom cutting service and they arrive ready to fit.

Fitting in three steps

1. Measure. Check your glass is 6–8mm thick, measure the height of the closing edges, and check your closed-door gap against the guidance above.

2. Choose. Pick the 2000mm or 2500mm pair — whichever is at or above your door height.

3. Fit. Trim to length if needed, then push each U-section onto its vertical glass edge so the two magnetic strips meet when the door closes. No tools, no adhesive.
