Black Magnetic Seals - 8-10mm Glass, 135 or 180, Spans 25mm

What this seal is

A pair of black magnetic seals for enclosures with 8–10mm glass. Each rigid PVC U-section pushes onto the edge of the glass with no adhesive, and the black magnetic strip pulls the door closed and holds it sealed while you shower — yet the door still opens easily when you are finished.

These seals fit vertically, usually on quadrant enclosures, though some bath screens and other doors use them too, and they can be used at either 135° or 180°. On sliding doors they suit a closing gap of no more than 25mm; on hinged or pivoting doors the gap needs to be exactly 20mm, otherwise the two magnetic strips will not line up and the seals may not function as intended.

Why fit this seal

Holds the door shut. Tired magnets or perished strips let the door drift open mid-shower. A fresh magnetic pair snaps the door closed and keeps the water inside.

Matches black enclosures. The black strip suits today’s black-framed and matt-black enclosures, so the replacement looks like original equipment.

No adhesive, no mess. The U-sections grip 8–10mm glass on their own and come off again without leaving residue.

Fitting in three steps

1. Measure. Check your glass is 8–10mm thick and measure the closing gap — up to 25mm for sliding doors, exactly 20mm for hinged or pivoting doors.

2. Choose. Pick the 2000mm or 2500mm pair at or above your door height, or have us custom cut them.

3. Fit. Remove the old seals, then push each U-section onto its glass edge so the magnetic strips face each other and meet when the door closes. Trim to length as needed.
