Shower Screen Seal - 8-10mm Glass, Plain U-Channel, No Fin

What this seal is

A clear U-channel seal for shower and bath screens with 8–10mm glass. The rigid PVC channel simply pushes onto the edge of the glass — no adhesive, no screws, no drilling — and grips glass of 8mm, 9mm or 10mm on its own. Unlike our finned seals, this profile has no wiping blade: its job is to frame and protect the edge of the glass rather than close a gap.

You'll most often find it along the bottom of a fixed panel, where it protects the glass from the shower tray or floor. It works just as well fitted vertically on the upright edge, protecting the glass where it meets the tiles or wall. To make the joint watertight, run a bead of silicone sealant along the outside once the seal is fitted.

Why fit this seal

Protects your glass. The bottom edge of a fixed panel takes constant contact with the tray or floor. This channel cushions and frames the edge, keeping the glass off hard surfaces.

No adhesive, no mess. The channel grips 8–10mm glass on its own — it slides straight on and can be removed without leaving residue on the glass.

Easy like-for-like replacement. If your existing frame seal has yellowed or split, swapping it for a fresh clear channel takes minutes and instantly smartens up the whole screen.

Fitting in three steps

1. Measure. Check your glass is 8–10mm thick and measure the edge you want to cover.

2. Choose. Pick the nearest length at or above your measurement — or use our custom cutting service and it arrives ready to fit.

3. Fit. Trim to length if needed, push the channel onto the edge of the glass, then apply silicone sealant along the outside to make it watertight.
