Tapered Shower Seal - 4-6mm Glass, Fin 15mm to 10mm, 900mm

What this seal is

A clear tapered seal for shower and bath screens with 4–6mm glass, made for the awkward situation a standard seal can't handle: an uneven gap. The rigid PVC U-section pushes onto the edge of the glass — no adhesive needed — while the soft flexible fin below tapers in height from 15mm at one end to 10mm at the other.

That taper lets the fin follow a gap that widens between the bottom of the glass and the top of the bath or tray — common where a bath or tray isn't quite level — sealing evenly along the full run where a straight fin would either drag or leave a gap. Which tapered seal do I need?

Measure the gap at both ends of the glass. In most cases we recommend a seal with a fin 2–5mm bigger than the gap you need to seal, so the flexible fin stays in contact along the whole length. Our tapered seals come in a number of different sizes, so if 15mm-to-10mm isn't the right drop for your screen, another size will be.

Why fit this seal

Seals an uneven gap. When the gap under your screen isn't the same at both ends, a standard fin can't seal it — a tapered fin follows the slope and closes it along the whole run.

Stops leaks and protects floors. Water escaping under one end of a screen soaks flooring and skirting. Matching the taper to your gap stops it at the source.

No adhesive, no mess. The channel grips 4–6mm glass on its own and comes off without residue.

Fitting in three steps

1. Measure. Check your glass is 4–6mm thick and measure the gap at both ends of the screen.

2. Choose. Pick the tapered size with a fin 2–5mm bigger than your gap — this one runs 15mm down to 10mm over its 900mm length.

3. Fit. Trim to length if needed, then push the channel onto the bottom edge of the glass with the deeper end of the fin over the wider end of the gap.
