Tapered Shower Seal - 4-6mm Glass, Fin 20mm to 15mm, 900mm

What this seal is

A clear tapered seal for shower and bath screens with 4–6mm glass. The rigid PVC U-section pushes straight onto the edge of the glass — no adhesive required — and the soft flexible fin underneath tapers in height from 20mm down to 15mm along its length.

The taper is the clever part: it closes an uneven gap between the bottom of the glass and the top of the bath or shower tray, where one end of the screen sits further from the surface than the other — a job a standard straight-fin seal simply cannot do.

Which tapered seal do I need?

Measure the gap under your glass at both ends of the screen. In most cases we recommend a fin between 2–5mm bigger than the gap you need to seal, so the flexible blade compresses against the bath or tray for a watertight fit. Why fit this seal

Seals gaps that standard seals can't. If your screen sits slightly out of level, a straight fin leaves a leak at one end — the tapered fin follows the slope and seals the full width of the screen.

Stops leaks and protects your bathroom. Closing the gap under the glass keeps water off the floor and protects flooring, skirting and plaster from long-term damage.

No adhesive, no mess. The U-section grips 4–6mm glass on its own, so it pushes straight on and comes off cleanly whenever it needs replacing.

Cut to fit at home. The 900mm length trims down easily, or use our custom cutting service and it arrives ready to fit.

Fitting in three steps

1. Measure. Check your glass is 4–6mm thick, then measure the gap under the glass at both ends of the screen.

2. Choose. Check the fin heights against your gaps — aim for a fin 2–5mm bigger than the gap at each end.

3. Fit. Trim to length if needed, then push the U-section onto the bottom edge of the glass with the deeper end of the fin over the wider gap. No tools, no adhesive.
