Barefoot wet-area matting that drains itself — built for poolsides, shower blocks and changing rooms, in six colours and three widths.
This is a heavy-gauge ribbed PVC matting made for floors that are wet all day. The ribbed top bars sit on channelled underbars, so water falls straight through the mat and runs away underneath instead of pooling where people walk barefoot. It carries DIN 51097 Classification C — the highest barefoot wet-area slip rating — and anti-microbial and anti-fungal additives protect bare feet in communal areas.
At 10.5mm thick and 5.5 kg/m² it is a substantial mat: it lies flat under its own weight, contours to uneven and cambered floors, and stays put on wet tile without adhesive. Supplied as 10m rolls in three widths — 0.5m, 1m and 1.22m — and cut to length on site with a sharp knife. SELF-DRAINING BY DESIGN
Channelled underbars lift the walking surface clear of the floor. Water drains four ways beneath the mat to the drainage channel, rather than sitting on top of it.
SAFE FOR BARE FEET
DIN 51097 Classification C, the highest barefoot wet-area rating. The embossed rib surface grips wet skin without being abrasive.
SIMPLE INSTALLATION
Rolls out flat and cuts cleanly on site with a sharp knife. No adhesive, no special tools. Rolls can be butted side by side to cover a wider area, and joined with snap track or connector clips.

COLOURS

- Dark grey — the leisure-centre default. A mid-dark grey that hides soiling between cleans and sits quietly against most tile.
- Charcoal grey — the darkest option, close to black. For modern spa and gym schemes and anywhere a grey mat still shows too much.
- Ocean blue — the classic poolside colour. Bright, easy to see when wet, and matches most pool-hall schemes.
- Green — for spa, sauna and leisure schemes where blue reads as too clinical. Sits well against timber and stone.
- White — the brightest option, for hydrotherapy, clinical and high-end spa schemes where the floor is cleaned daily. Shows soiling sooner than the darker colours, which some hygiene regimes prefer.
- Mulberry red — a deep burgundy for hotel spas, thermal suites and club changing rooms where the floor is part of the interior scheme. Warm against stone and timber, and it hides marks well.

EDGING, JOINING & FIXING
Everything needed to finish the installation is on one page — matting accessories: ramp edging, snap track, connector clips, floor hooks and cold weld paste. This mat is 10.5mm, so take the 10mm low-profile edging and the 10.5mm snap track.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
Before you start: lift the matting and remove loose items, litter, hair and clothing fibres from beneath it.
By hand: apply an alkaline cleaning fluid with a sprayer or mop, following the fluid manufacturer's instructions. Work it into surface dirt with a stiff deck brush, allow it to soak, then rinse through with clean water.
By machine: spray on the alkaline solution, then run a cylindrical brush machine in the direction of the top ribs, with cross passes to reach the embossed pattern. Roll the matting over and repeat to clean the underbars.
Steam cleaning: any steam cleaner is suitable. Best results at approximately 6894.8 kN/m² (1000 psi) nozzle pressure with water at 100°C (212°F), diluting the cleaning fluid as recommended by its manufacturer.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Is it safe for bare feet?
Yes — this is what the mat is made for. It carries DIN 51097 Classification C, the highest barefoot wet-area slip classification, and the PVC is anti-microbial and anti-fungal.
How is it different from open-grid matting?
This mat is thicker (10.5mm against 6mm) and heavier (5.5 kg/m² against 3.7 kg/m²), and it drains under the walking surface through channelled underbars rather than straight through an open grid. It is the heavier-duty barefoot choice; open grid is lighter to lift and move.
Can I cut it to size myself?
Yes. It cuts cleanly on site with a sharp knife, no special tools needed. Allow for up to 2% reversion when cutting to a fixed length.
Does it need fixing down?
Not usually. Even the 0.5m roll weighs 27.5 kg, so it lies flat under its own weight and contours to uneven floors. On trolley routes or at exposed ends, edging and floor hooks are available in the matching 10mm height.
Will it stand chlorinated pool water?
Yes. The PVC resists most acids, alkalines and oils, and the mat is designed for chlorinated pool and spa environments.
Which width should I choose?
0.5m for single-file routes and thresholds, 1m for two-way gangways and most pool surrounds, 1.22m where a 1m roll would leave a bare strip along a wall or pool edge. Rolls butt side by side, so a 1m and a 0.5m together cover a 1.5m run.
How many rolls do I need?
Divide your area in m² by the roll's coverage — 5.0, 10.0 or 12.2 m² — and round up.
Which colours can I get?
